Sister Maria Rosa, the "Honduran Woman of the Century" created new communities such as Nuevo Paraiso to give displaced Honduran families better access to housing, education, health care and financial self-sufficiency through new agricultural ventures and micro-businesses such as Artes del Paraiso. Sister Maria's vision has enabled many Hondurans to break the poverty cycle and direct the course of their own lives. The mandate of Friends of Honduran Children, a not-for-profit organization, is to benefit underprivileged children and support new communities such as Nuevo Paraiso.

Your support of Artes del Paraiso will have a real impact on the lives of the residents of the Nuevo Paraiso community. Your purchase of their beautiful handmade paper will provide the gift of hope for the future for Honduran women and their families.

Our customers are the vital link in the bridge we are building together, so please write Pegi Eyers at info@pegi-eyers.com with your orders, requirements and suggestions. With your help we can make a huge difference!

“A vision without a task is but a dream,
a task without a vision is drudgery,
a vision with a task is the hope of the world.”
